Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), have recorded major operational successes against Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists, including the neutralization of insurgents, arrest of suspects, and disruption of logistics networks across the region.

The operations, conducted between March 31 and April 4, 2026, targeted key terrorist activities in Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa states.

In a major breakthrough, troops under Sector 2 in Geidam, working alongside the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), engaged suspected terrorist logistics suppliers following credible intelligence. Three terrorists were neutralized, and a vehicle loaded with supplies was disabled. Items recovered included foodstuffs, mobile phones, and other materials meant for insurgent camps.

In a separate operation along the Konduga–Kawuri axis, troops ambushed terrorists attempting to plant improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The encounter resulted in the neutralisation of two insurgents, while weapons and ammunition were recovered. Troops also detected and safely detonated another IED along the Ngoshe–Pulka road, preventing potential casualties.

In Adamawa State, troops under Sector 4, in collaboration with local hunters, arrested three suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP members in Mubi North Local Government Area. One of the suspects reportedly confessed to gathering intelligence on troop movements and participating in previous attacks.

Further operations in Mainok market led to the arrest of three logistics suppliers, with livestock, cash, and communication devices recovered, weakening the terrorists’ supply chain.

In Yobe State, troops intercepted a vehicle conveying suspected terrorists, two of whom had gunshot wounds linked to earlier engagements. They are currently in custody along with recovered communication equipment.

Additional arrests were made across the theatre, including suspected informants and collaborators attempting to move across borders, as well as a foreign national apprehended under suspicious circumstances.

The military said troops have continued to maintain pressure on insurgents, denying them freedom of movement and operational capability. It added that all operations were conducted successfully, with high morale and professionalism among personnel.

The Military High Command commended the troops for their resilience and urged them to sustain the momentum in ongoing operations to enhance security and stability in the North-East.
