President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has postponed his planned visit to Iperu, Ogun State, where he was scheduled to flag off operations at the Gateway International Cargo Airport, opting instead to visit Plateau State in response to recent violent attacks.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President will travel to Jos to commiserate with the government and people of Plateau State over the loss of lives recorded in the attacks.
After the Plateau visit, Tinubu will proceed to Lagos to observe the Good Friday holiday.
The President is expected to resume his Ogun State engagement on Saturday, April 4, where he will commission the Gateway International Cargo Airport and inaugurate two commercial aircraft aimed at boosting import and export activities in the state.
He will also inaugurate the new Federal Operations Unit building of the Nigerian Customs Service along with operational vehicles.

The statement further disclosed that Tinubu will return to Lagos to continue the Easter holiday, during which he is expected to commission key infrastructure projects executed by the Lagos State Government under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The projects include the Ojota/Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information System Building, a multi-agency complex named after the President, and a school complex.

Before returning to Abuja, the President is scheduled to visit Bayelsa State on April 10 to inaugurate projects completed by Governor Douye Diri.
