TINUBU CELEBRATES AIDE ADEKUNLE-JOHNSON, COMMENDS MSME INITIATIVES

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated his Special Adviser on Job Creation and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Temitola Adekunle-Johnson, on the occasion of his birthday.

In a statement released by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu praised Adekunle-Johnson for his dedication, professionalism, and commitment to supporting the administration’s goal of empowering Nigerians through sustainable job creation and the development of MSMEs, which play a vital role in the country’s economy.

The President highlighted Adekunle-Johnson’s leadership and innovative approach in implementing policies and programmes that encourage entrepreneurship, create economic opportunities, and strengthen small businesses nationwide.

Tinubu also expressed confidence in Adekunle-Johnson’s continued efforts to promote inclusive economic growth, expand opportunities for Nigerians, especially young people and emerging entrepreneurs.

According to the statement, Adekunle-Johnson has worked with stakeholders in both the public and private sectors to take the Expanded National MSME Clinics to several states across the federation. He has also overseen the establishment of 18 Shared Facility Hubs in different parts of the country, with additional centres underway. These initiatives have reportedly generated about 478,000 jobs while supporting the sustainability of small businesses.

The statement further noted that through the National MSME Awards, one of the key programmes under his supervision, the government recognizes and rewards outstanding small businesses, promoting innovation, excellence, and hard work within Nigeria’s MSME sector.

President Tinubu wished Adekunle-Johnson good health, greater achievements, and many more years of service to the nation, while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to strengthening the MSME sector as a major driver of inclusive economic growth.
