President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in the United Kingdom for a two-day state visit at the invitation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
The President, who was accompanied by the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, landed at London Stansted Airport at about 3:18 p.m. on Tuesday.
He was received on behalf of the Royal Family by the Deputy Lieutenant of Essex, Mark Bevan, alongside Nigeria’s Acting High Commissioner to the UK, Ambassador Mohammed Maidugu, and other senior officials.
Several Nigerian political leaders, including senators, governors and ministers, were also present to welcome the President at his hotel.
According to a statement from the State House, President Tinubu and his wife are scheduled to be hosted at Windsor Castle from March 18 to March 19 as part of the visit.
The trip is expected to focus on strengthening bilateral relations between Nigeria and the United Kingdom, as well as exploring new investment opportunities for businesses in both countries.
