President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the posting of four ambassador-designates from the 68 nominees earlier confirmed by the Senate in December 2025.
The approvals include Usman Isa Dakingari Suleiman, former Governor of Kebbi State, who has been appointed Ambassador-designate to Turkey.
The posting comes ahead of President Tinubu’s scheduled state visit to Turkey next week.
Also approved is Ambassador Ayodele Oke as Nigeria’s Ambassador-designate to France, while Colonel Lateef Are (rtd.) has been named Ambassador-designate to the United States of America.
In addition, Ambassador Aminu Dalhatu, a former Nigerian envoy to South Korea, has been appointed High Commissioner-designate to the United Kingdom.
President Tinubu has directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to formally notify the governments of the four host countries in line with established diplomatic protocols.
