Popular TikTok content creator, Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has announced that he has gained admission to study Law at a University in Lagos State.

Peller made the disclosure in a video shared on Saturday, which has since gone viral on social media. In the clip, the influencer expressed excitement over the development, responded to critics who had previously questioned his educational background.

The video showed Peller
walking into a building with a statue of justice positioned at the entrance, suggesting a symbolic turning point in his personal and public life. He stated that his admission marked a shift in how he should be perceived by the public.

According to him, he has been admitted into a private university in Lagos, although he declined to disclose the name of the institution.

“Everyone has been criticising me for not being educated, as if I’m the first person who didn’t study in a university. Now, all of you should leave social media, because I’m in school,” he said.

“I’m now studying law. You can see it, right? You can’t mess with me anymore. I know the law,” he added.

Over the years, Peller has faced sustained criticism online, with some social media users describing him as “lousy and uneducated” because of his spoken English and unconventional content style.

Earlier this month, the TikTok star had revealed plans to further his education, explaining that the decision was partly motivated by his desire to improve his spoken English.

Peller has also remained in the public spotlight following a recent controversy surrounding the visit of American streamer IShowSpeed to Nigeria. The content creator was reportedly prevented from meeting the streamer by members of the security team while attempting to secure a collaboration.

Despite repeated efforts, including a dramatic attempt to attract attention by riding on a horse and calling out to the streamer, Peller was turned away.

Following the incident, he accused members of the security team of demanding money before granting access to IShowSpeed.

According to Peller, he was asked to pay ₦1 million to meet the streamer, an allegation that sparked widespread reactions on social media.

As reactions continue to trail his admission announcement, many online users have described the move as a significant personal milestone, a response to long-standing criticism.
