Fighting continued across multiple fronts in Ukraine as Russian forces launched attacks on several regions, resulting in civilian casualties and escalating energy crises.

Recent Fighting:
In Donetsk, four civilians were killed and five injured from Russian attacks. Governor Vadym Filashkin reported 109 people, including 17 children, were evacuated.

In Zaporizhia, one civilian was killed following a Russian glide-bomb attack on Komyshuvakha.

Kherson city and surrounding villages suffered drone attacks, leaving one dead and two injured.

In Dnipropetrovsk, a 72-year-old man was killed and two others, including a child, were injured.

Ukraine’s Air Force intercepted 76 of 101 Russian drones launched in the past day.

Ukrainian forces reportedly struck a fuel depot and radar facilities in Russia’s Penza region.

Russia announced the capture of Symynivka, northeast of Kharkiv.

Additional casualties were reported in Russian-occupied territories and in Russia’s Belgorod region.

Diplomatic Efforts:
Trilateral talks involving Ukraine, Russia, and the United States began in Abu Dhabi on Friday. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said it is “too early to draw conclusions” and confirmed that negotiations will continue.

Chief negotiator Rustem Umerov noted that discussions focused on parameters for ending the war and advancing a “dignified and lasting peace.”

Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov described pre-meeting talks between US and Russian officials as “substantive, constructive and very frank.”

Energy Crisis:
Ukraine’s energy infrastructure continues to be a target, with repeated Russian attacks causing emergency outages across most regions. DTEK head Maxim Timchenko warned that the situation is approaching a “humanitarian catastrophe.”

Regional Security:
The Swedish Air Force intercepted two Russian Su-35S aircraft escorting a Tu-22M over the Baltic Sea.

France redirected the oil tanker Grinch to Marseille-Fos for inspection, suspecting involvement in Russia’s shadow oil fleet.

The conflict, now entering its 1,430th day, continues to strain Ukraine’s civilian population and infrastructure while diplomatic channels seek a path to a negotiated settlement.
