The Adamawa State Government has concluded arrangements to receive President Bola Tinubu for a one-day official visit to the state on Monday.

The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. James Iliya, told newsmen in Yola on Sunday that the visit reflects national recognition of the developmental strides achieved under the administration of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.

President Tinubu is expected to inaugurate several infrastructural projects, including the newly constructed underpass at the former Bekaji Roundabout, the expanded Bank Road in Yola, and a model school in Yola North, part of 21 newly built schools across the state.

The President will also perform the groundbreaking ceremony for a new NYSC permanent orientation camp in Malkohi, commission the ultra-modern High Court Complex, unveil the automated gate at Government House, and inaugurate the newly constructed Governor’s Office complex.

The projects span key sectors such as education, infrastructure, governance, justice administration, security, healthcare, and human capital development.

Mr. Iliya urged residents to remain law-abiding during the visit and encouraged people from all political affiliations to turn out and warmly welcome the President.

Ahead of the visit, the Adamawa State Police Command has deployed manpower and operational assets, including the Mobile Force, Counter-Terrorism Unit, Surveillance Squad, and Crowd and Traffic Control Unit, to ensure security across the state.
