Police Service Commission (PSC), in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has announced that the physical and credential screening for the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 police constables will commence on March 9, 2026, and run through April 18, 2026, across the federation.
All candidates who successfully completed the online registration exercise are required to log in to the recruitment portal (npfapplication.psc.gov.ng) to check their status and print the necessary documents for the screening.
These include:
• Guarantors Form
• Application Submission Slip
• Invitation Slip
• Credentials Screening Form
• Physical Screening Form
Applicants must also present the following items at the screening venue:
1. Invitation Slip with assigned table
2. Credential Screening Form
3. Original National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card issued by NIMC
4. O’Level (GCE/SSCE) Certificate
5. Birth Certificate or age declaration
6. LGA/State of Origin Certificate
7. Trade Test/Certificate (for specialist roles only)
8. Duly completed and signed Guarantors Form with photocopies and passport photographs of referees attached
9. Original and duplicate copies of all credentials neatly packaged in two separate white flat files with recent passport photos
Candidates are expected to attend the screening in white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts, and white stockings.
Screening venues will be designated within each State and the FCT, as indicated on the invitation printout.
The PSC Chairman, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (rtd), mni, emphasized that the recruitment exercise is entirely free of charge and warned applicants against online impostors and scammers who may attempt to defraud them.
Anyone found attempting to manipulate the process will be arrested and prosecuted.
The PSC spokesman, Torty Njoku Kalu, stated that the commission is committed to conducting the exercise in full transparency and accountability.
