The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has thwarted an armed robbery in Kado, Abuja, arresting one suspect and recovering occurred on Friday, January 23, around 6:15 am near MRS Filling Station. A distress call prompted a rapid response from Mabushi Division, leading to a pursuit and exchange of gunfire. One suspect was injured and taken to a hospital, while two others escaped into nearby bushes.
Recovered items include a black Volkswagen Golf (JJJ 112 DW), a Barreta pistol, a locally made pistol, two mobile phones, an ATM card, a catapult, a generator, clothing, and footwear. Police are continuing efforts to apprehend the remaining suspects.
FCT Police Commissioner CP Miller G. Dantawaye reassured residents of the command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property, urging the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities promptly.
