PDP Expels Wike, Fayose, Anyanwu and Others Over Anti Party Activities

The Peoples Democratic Party on Saturday expelled former Rivers State Governor and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, the factional National Chairman Samuel Anyanwu and former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose over allegations of anti party activities.

The decision was taken at the ongoing PDP National Convention in Ibadan after a motion for their expulsion was moved by one of the party’s founding fathers, Chief Bode George. The motion received unanimous support from party members present at the convention and was seconded by the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed.

Others affected by the expulsion include the party’s National Legal Adviser Adeyemi Ajibade SAN, Umar Bature, AbdulRahman Mohammed, Mao Chuambuwa, George Turner, Austin Nwachukwu, Abraham Ammah and Dan Orbih.

The party stated that the action became necessary to restore discipline and cohesion within its ranks.
