The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described the recent kidnapping of school children at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Niger State as a sad and deeply unfortunate development.
This was stated earlier today during a high-powered sympathy visit by the Party’s NWC to Niger State, following the traumatic abduction of pupils and other citizens.
The delegation, led by the PDP National Chairman, HE Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, and other members of the NWC, was received at the Government House, Minna, by the Executive Governor of Niger State, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Umar Bago.

Speaking during the visit, the PDP leadership expressed profound pain and anguish over the rising wave of insecurity in Niger State and across the country, particularly the heartbreaking abduction of innocent school children.
The Party, reaffirming its belief in the sanctity of life and the right of every Nigerian child to safe and uninterrupted education, strongly condemned the attack and all acts of terror against citizens.
The PDP National Chairman commended Governor Bago for his swift response and ongoing collaboration with security agencies to secure the release of the abducted children and restore peace in the affected communities.
Turaki also assured the governor and the people of Niger State of the Party’s unwavering prayers, sympathy, and support during this difficult period, stressing that the PDP remains committed to the safety and welfare of all Nigerians, irrespective of political affiliation.
