The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the commencement of a nationwide digital membership registration exercise across all wards in the 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory.
According to a press statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Ini Ememobong, the exercise will begin on Monday, March 2, 2026, and will run for three weeks.
The statement explained that the initiative is aimed at compiling a comprehensive digital membership register in compliance with the Electoral Act 2026, which mandates all political parties to submit their digital membership registers to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Registration will take place daily, except Sundays, at all Ward, Chapter, and State offices of the party throughout the registration period. Special cases will be handled at the PDP National Secretariat.
To ensure a smooth process, the NWC has constituted a special committee headed by the National Organising Secretary, Hon. Theophilus Daka Shan, to oversee the exercise and address any complaints that may arise.
The party urged its members and interested members of the public to visit the nearest PDP office within their wards to participate in the registration.
