Ogun State Government has announced the payment of end-of-the-year salary bonuses to its workforce, describing the gesture as a show of appreciation for workers’ dedication to the state’s growth and development.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the State Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, said the bonus was aimed at recognizing the invaluable contributions of public servants to the success of the current administration’s “Building Our Future Together” agenda.

Onasanya described the state workforce as reliable, dependable partners in governance, urged them to remain committed to service delivery in order to move the state to greater heights.

For many workers, the bonus came as a welcome relief, especially at a time when household expenses typically rise toward the end of the year.

The end-of-year bonus, which has become an annual tradition under the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun, underscores the government’s continued focus on workers’ welfare and well-being.

Speaking further, Onasanya noted that the gesture was designed to reward public servants for their dedication and commitment throughout the year.

“The bonus also acknowledges the critical role of public servants in driving the government’s Building Our Future Together agenda,” he said.

He added that the payment cuts across all categories of state government employees, reinforcing an inclusive approach to staff motivation and effective service delivery.

Several workers described the bonus as timely, thoughtful, saying it would help them settle outstanding obligations, adequately prepare for the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

They also expressed appreciation for the early payment of the December 2025 salary, noting that it had eased financial pressure, boosted morale across ministries, departments, and agencies.
