Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful across the country on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement signed by its President, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, the association congratulated Muslim lawyers and the wider Muslim Ummah for the successful completion of the fasting period, describing the celebration as a time for reflection on values of sacrifice, discipline, compassion, and devotion to God.
The NBA noted that the spiritual lessons of Ramadan align closely with the principles of the legal profession, particularly justice, equity, and service to humanity.
“As families and communities gather to celebrate, sharing meals, offering prayers, and extending kindness to the less privileged, Nigerians are urged to embrace the enduring lessons of Ramadan by promoting peace, tolerance, and unity,” the statement read.
The association further called on citizens to use the occasion to renew their commitment to nation-building, especially in the face of ongoing social and economic challenges.
The NBA also prayed that the celebration would bring hope, blessings, and lasting peace to Nigerians.
