According to the statement, the decision was reached during a meeting between the Registrar of NABTEB, Dr. Aminu Mohammed, and the Registrar of NECO, Prof. Dantani Wushishi, at NECO headquarters in Minna.
Both chief executives led their respective management teams in deliberations aimed at enhancing examination administration and advancing shared institutional objectives.
Mohammed emphasized the importance of synergy among examination bodies, noting that collaboration remains critical to national development.
He described the meeting as an opportunity to renew and deepen institutional partnerships through constructive engagement.
The NABTEB Registrar also called for broader coordination among examination bodies, including the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS), while acknowledging their distinct operational mandates.
In his remarks, Wushishi described the engagement as a significant step toward strengthening cooperation between the two institutions.
He said NABTEB’s visit reflected strong institutional goodwill and expressed NECO’s readiness for renewed collaboration.
The newly established 10-member technical committee, comprising five representatives from each organization, is tasked with developing operational frameworks, harmonizing strategies, and recommending implementation modalities to their chief executives.
