Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has felicitated Christians in the state, across Nigeria on the celebration of this year’s Christmas, urging them to continue to live in love, peace, harmony with one another, with their neighbours.
The Governor made the call in his Christmas message released on Thursday in Ibadan by his Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju.
Makinde described Christmas as a season of love, emphasizing that the birth of Jesus Christ remains the essence of the celebration.
He encouraged Christians to reflect the love of Christ in their daily lives, in coexisting peacefully with others, in line with the teachings of Jesus Christ
The Governor also advised residents of the state to remain security conscious during the Yuletide, stressing that safeguarding Oyo State is a collective responsibility of both the government and the people.
