Operatives of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency have arrested a suspected burglar, recovered a locally made firearm in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
The arrest took place following reports of suspicious activity in the Araromi area of Imota. Officers from the Imota Command apprehended 25-year-old Monday Enoch at around 4:22am on Friday, March 13, 2026.
During interrogation, Enoch admitted to possessing two firearms, led operatives to an uncompleted building in the Mosafejo area of Agbowa, where a locally made rifle was recovered. The agency confirmed efforts were ongoing to locate the second firearm, reportedly stolen in Ogun State.
The General Manager of the agency, Prince Dr. Ifalade Oyekan, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to collaborating with other law enforcement bodies at federal, state, and local levels to strengthen security.
The suspect, recovered firearm have been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force at the Imota Police Division for further investigation and possible prosecution.
