The Kano State Police Command has arrested a suspected drug dealer and five alleged thugs at Jaoji Quarters in the Kano metropolis.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Haruna, confirmed the arrest in a statement issued on Monday.
According to him, the arrest was part of the command’s sustained efforts to curb drug trafficking and other criminal activities across the state.
Haruna said police officers attached to the Jaoji Police Division carried out the operation, during which a 25-year-old suspected drug dealer, identified as Hafizu Ali of Jaoji Quarters, was apprehended alongside five suspected thugs.
He added that various illicit drugs and dangerous weapons were recovered from the suspects during the operation.
The police spokesperson assured residents that the command remains committed towards maintaining peace and security in Kano State.
