The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the commencement of examination slip printing for candidates registered for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

In a statement issued on Thursday, the board urged candidates to visit its official website to print their examination slips ahead of the exercise.

JAMB stated that the slip contains vital details, including the candidate’s examination date, time, and venue, and serves as an entry requirement into the examination hall.

“Examination Slip Printing is now available. The slip contains details of the venue, date and time of your examination and gives you access to the examination hall,” the board said.

Candidates are required to log on to jamb.gov.ng and click on the “2026 Slip Printing” link to access and print their slips.

The announcement follows JAMB’s dismissal of a viral press release alleging that the examination had been postponed. The board described the report as false, malicious, and misleading, urging candidates to disregard it.

The 2026 UTME is scheduled to hold from Thursday, April 16, to Saturday, April 25, 2026.

The examination comes after a mock test conducted on March 28, which experienced technical challenges in some Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres.

Out of the 224,597 candidates who registered for the mock examination, 152,586 successfully sat for the test across 989 CBT centres nationwide. JAMB disclosed that over 20 centres were delisted due to technical shortcomings.

The board also warned candidates to steer clear of fraudsters, particularly those on WhatsApp claiming to assist in score manipulation, stressing that such acts are criminal and could lead to cancellation of registration or withholding of results.

JAMB advised candidates to rely only on official information channels and adhere strictly to examination guidelines.
