Imo State Police Command has opened a full investigation into allegations of visa fraud involving TMT Travels & Tours Ltd, following multiple complaints from victims who claimed they were defrauded after making payments for visa processing services.
In a statement issued on Friday, November 28, 2025, the State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Okoye Henry says the Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, has directed the Command’s Monitoring Unit to carry out a thorough probe into the allegations.
According to the statement, nine Nigerian passports have so far been recovered as evidence, while the Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mr. Ifeanyi Onwukwubiri, has been invited for questioning to assist investigators in establishing the facts of the case.
It appealed for calm, assuring the public that efforts are underway to recover funds allegedly paid to the firm, as well as any additional documents belonging to affected applicants.

The Police also cautioned citizens to exercise due diligence when engaging in visa or travel-related schemes, noting the rise in fraudulent operations within the sector.
The statement reassured residents of Imo State of the Command’s commitment to justice, public safety, and the protection of citizens from fraudulent activities.
