Former Vice President of Nigeria, Arc. Mohammed Namadi Sambo, has reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), declaring that he remains a member of the party for life, fully committed to its rebuilding and repositioning efforts.

Sambo made the declaration while receiving members of the national leadership of the PDP, led by the National Chairman, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, who paid him a courtesy visit at his residence in Abuja.

“I am a PDP member for life,” the former Vice President stated, pledging his full support for the Kabiru Tanimu Turaki–led National Working Committee (NWC) as it works to strengthen and reposition the party.

Earlier, Turaki said the visit was aimed at briefing Sambo on the current state of the party, its prospects and challenges, to seek his guidance and support as the PDP embarks on a comprehensive rebuilding process.

He also commended Sambo, other leaders of the Goodluck Jonathan administration for their sacrifices in sustaining Nigeria’s democracy, particularly during the 2015 political transition.

Also present during the visit were the Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees, Senator Adolphus Wabara; Senator Jonah Jang, former Governor of Plateau State; Professor Jerry Gana, former Minister of Information; Hajiya Inna Ciroma, former Minister of Women Affairs; and Hon. Frederick Agbedi, Leader of the PDP Caucus in the House of Representatives.

The party leaders jointly expressed optimism about the future of the PDP, noting that Sambo’s continued loyalty and support would further strengthen ongoing efforts to reposition the party ahead of forthcoming elections.
