The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has commended the Ogun State Government for donating new security vehicles and electric motorcycles to strengthen policing operations in the state.
Disu gave the commendation during the commissioning of landmark projects in Ogun State, where the newly acquired security assets were unveiled to boost the operational capacity of law enforcement agencies.
The police chief described the initiative as a proactive step by the state government to support security efforts, noting that the additional vehicles and electric motorbikes would enhance rapid response, improve patrol efficiency across the state.
According to him, the Nigeria Police Force remains committed to working closely with state governments and the Federal Government to tackle emerging security challenges and ensure the safety of lives and property.
“The Nigeria Police Force will continue to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to maintain peace and order and support national development,” the IGP said.
He also appreciated the Ogun State Government, led by Governor Dapo Abiodun, other dignitaries for their continued support for security initiatives in the state.
The Inspector-General further urged residents to cooperate with law enforcement agencies, report suspicious activities, stressing that community participation remains vital in maintaining public safety.
