Popular Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, has sparked widespread concern after breaking down in tears in a new video, expressing deep emotional and mental distress over ongoing family and marital issues. The actress, who shared the emotional clip on her Instagram Story in the early hours of Friday, accompanied it with a heartbreaking caption that read, “I give up.”

In the video, Daniels appeared visibly shaken as she spoke about her struggles, saying, “I tried. I feel like I’m going crazy, I’m losing my mind, and it’s not making any sense. I’m really crying in front of everybody.”

The outburst came just a day after the actress celebrated the reconciliation of her once-estranged parents. In a post shared on Thursday, Daniels expressed joy over her parents’ reunion, describing it as a gesture done purely for her happiness.

“Two concluded sworn enemies reuniting with no negative ulterior motive other than their daughter’s happiness,” she wrote.

According to the actress, her parents are currently in Abuja, working together to secure the release of her brother, Sammy, who has reportedly been in detention for several days.

“Sammy’s detainment is taking way too long, but we will get him out even if I have to march there myself and create a storm! Since they want me!” she declared.

Her emotional breakdown comes weeks after she hinted at experiencing domestic violence in her marriage. On October 18, a viral video showed the actress in tears, surrounded by aides and relatives, lamenting, “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing. But in my house, I am a queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence; it’s too much.”

Her husband, businessman and politician Ned Nwoko, later denied the allegations, claiming her outburst was a result of “drug and alcohol abuse” and insisting that Daniels needed rehabilitation.

On Wednesday, the actress released another emotional video where she pleaded with Nigerians to stop attacking her mother, whom she described as her “pillar and protector.”

Speaking further, Daniels reaffirmed her commitment to her two sons, Munir and Khalifa, vowing to raise them with or without external support.

“I’m going to fight for my children. I’ll take them, train them, and raise them with or without your support,” she stated, adding that her family never approved of her marriage.

The actress’s emotional confession has drawn mixed reactions from fans and colleagues, many of whom have urged her to seek help and prioritize her mental health.
