Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, today led a delegation of members of the State Executive Council and key political stakeholders to pay their final respects to the late Mrs. Magdalene Ubom Udoakpan, mother-in-law of Minister of State for Petroleum (Gas), Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo.
The Governor joined a host of eminent personalities from across the country including members of the Federal Executive Council who converged on St. Bernard Parish, Ikot Udom, in Ika Local Government Area, to honour the departed matriarch described by her family as a woman who lived a life marked by impact, devotion, and service to humanity.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was represented at the funeral by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar, while the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, was represented by the member representing Ukanafun Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr. Unyime Idem.
