Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has approved the payment of the 13th-month “Eno-mber” salary bonus to state workers ahead of the Christmas season.
The governor announced this on Monday through his social media platforms, stating that he has directed the Accountant General to disburse the bonus immediately to enable workers celebrate the festive period with ease.
“I have directed the Accountant General to pay the 13th-month Eno-mber salary before Christmas, so our workers can celebrate with ease. Happy New Month,” he wrote.
The 13th-month salary is an additional end-of-year payment often equivalent to one month’s wage designed to support holiday expenses. This marks the third consecutive year Governor Eno is approving the bonus.
In December 2024, he also announced the payment of the ₦80,000 minimum wage to all public servants in the state.
