Katsina State Governor, Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda, has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden death of the Managing Director of the Katsina State Water Board, Engr. Tukur Tingilin, who died following an auto accident on Thursday.
In a condolence message issued on Friday through his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula, Governor Radda described the incident as a devastating loss to the state, particularly at a time when the administration was intensifying efforts to improve water supply across communities.
The Governor paid glowing tribute to the late Water Board boss, commending his dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to public service.
He noted that Tingilin’s leadership was defined by selfless service and a strong drive to ensure access to clean and safe water for residents across the state.
According to the statement, Governor Radda described the death as a rude shock, emphasizing that Engr.
Tingilin remained steadfast in his responsibilities until his final moments.
“Under his guidance, efforts to ensure that clean water reached every household in Katsina were greatly intensified and sustained,” the statement read.
Governor Radda also took solace in the fact that the late Managing Director passed away as a faithful Muslim during the holy month of Ramadan.
On behalf of the government and people of Katsina State, the Governor extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and the people of Malumfashi Local Government Area.
He prayed to Allah to grant them the strength and fortitude to bear the monumental loss.
