Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has reaffirmed his administration’s determination to build a safe and secure environment which will guarantee a brighter future for children across the State.

The Governor gave the assurance on Friday, March 13, 2026, while receiving pupils of King’s Kids Christian Montessori School, Uyo, who visited the Government House on a guided tour. He noted that despite his busy schedule, he prioritized meeting with the pupils because of his deep passion for the wellbeing and development of children.

Governor Eno stressed that it is the fundamental responsibility of government to provide peace, security and a conducive learning environment that will enable young people to concentrate on their studies and achieve their aspirations.

He urged the pupils to remain focused, disciplined and inspired by the visit, assuring them that his administration is working tirelessly to build a lasting legacy for future generations.

He also commended the teachers for their dedication and mentorship, describing them as worthy role models in shaping the minds and character of the pupils.

As part of the visit, the children were taken on a tour of the Governor’s office to gain firsthand insight into the workings of Government House. They were later presented with backpacks containing educational materials and meal packs, each branded with the ARISE emblem, symbolically designating them ambassadors of the initiative.

Speaking on behalf of the pupils, Senior Prefect Miss Ruth Thank-God expressed gratitude to the Governor for the warm reception, describing him as an inspiration to young people.

Similarly, the Deputy Head Teacher (Academics), Mrs Grace Ben, said the visit would leave a lasting impression on the pupils and motivate them to excel academically.

The highlight of the visit was the presentation of an Award of Leadership Excellence to Governor Eno in recognition of his commitment to education and child development in the State.
