Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has marked the second anniversary of the Golden Initiative For All (GIFA), the humanitarian vision founded by his late wife, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, whose birthday is also being remembered with love and gratitude.
In a commemorative message, the Governor reflected on the enduring impact of the initiative, noting that while the state continues to honour the memory of the late First Lady, it is equally celebrating the countless lives touched through GIFA’s interventions.
He highlighted the programme’s focus on compassion, empowerment, maternal and child healthcare, literacy support and the protection of vulnerable groups across the state, describing GIFA at two as “a testament to service, sacrifice and impact.”
Governor Eno commended the Coordinator, Office of the First Lady, Noble Lady (Mrs.) Helen Eno Obareki, for her resilience and dedication in sustaining and advancing the noble vision.
He also expressed appreciation to the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, and the Nigeria Governors’ Wives Forum for their mentorship and support. The Governor further acknowledged development partners and the people of Akwa Ibom State for their prayers, solidarity and continued support for the initiative.
“As GIFA turns two, we celebrate the lives it has transformed and look forward to more golden years ahead,” the Governor stated.
The Golden Initiative For All remains one of Akwa Ibom State’s flagship humanitarian programmes, championing social welfare and inclusive development across communities.
