President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President urged Muslims to renew their commitment to national unity, humanity, and patriotism.
President Tinubu called on the faithful to uphold the core values of Ramadan, including piety, selflessness, perseverance, kindness, and compassion, even after the fasting period.
“We have a lot to draw from the noble lessons of Ramadan, especially at a time like this. We must continue to abide by these virtues beyond this period,” the President said.
He also encouraged Muslims to extend acts of charity and kindness to the less privileged, irrespective of religious differences, as a demonstration of unity and shared humanity.
The President further urged religious leaders to use the occasion to offer prayers for peace, stability, and prosperity in Nigeria.
Eid-el-Fitr marks the end of the month-long Ramadan fast, a period devoted to spiritual reflection, discipline, and devotion among Muslims worldwide.
