Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested three individuals suspected of attempting to influence the Anambra governorship election through vote-buying, the commission confirmed on its official Facebook page.
According to the post made on the #FCC official Facebook page; the suspects include:
Emeka Ilokasia – arrested at Ward 2, Njikoka Local Government
Nwachuwu Loretta – arrested at Ward 2(008), Awkuzu, Oyi Local Government
Emuka Chuwudi – arrested at Umunachi Village, Dunukofia Local Government
The arrests were made on Saturday, November 8, 2025, during the ongoing governorship election. According to the EFCC, the suspects will be charged to court after investigations are concluded.
