Maiduguri Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested three individuals for suspected Naira mutilation in Borno State.
The suspects; Jibrin Bukar, Dauda Adamu, and Abdullahi Mohammed were apprehended after a video circulated on social media showing them spraying, mutilating Naira notes.
Acting on intelligence, EFCC operatives traced the trio, arrested them in Maiduguri.
The suspects are currently under investigation and will be charged to court upon the conclusion of EFCC’s inquiries.
