Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has commenced investigation into Abubakar Salihu, who was arrested in possession of 305 pieces of $100 bills suspected to be counterfeit.
Salihu was apprehended on December 4, 2025, by the operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) patrol team along the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway.
He was subsequently handed over to the EFCC, Kaduna Zonal Directorate on December 5, 2025, for further investigation.
The EFCC stated that investigations are ongoing, after which the suspect will be charged to court upon the conclusion of inquiries.
