Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved a minor reshuffle in the State Executive Council, as part of efforts to strengthen governance, improve service delivery.
The changes were announced in a statement contained in a letter dated January 29, signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor, and made available to journalists on Friday.
According to the statement, the reshuffle is aimed at enhancing efficiency, coordination, and effective administration of state affairs.
Under the new arrangement, Vincent Osas Uwadiae, formerly Commissioner for Oil and Gas Resources, has been redeployed to the Ministry of Lands and Housing as Commissioner.
Also, Yakubu Oshiorenua, who previously served as Commissioner for Lands and Housing, has been appointed Chief of Staff to the Governor.
Meanwhile, Gani Audu, who until now served as Chief of Staff to the Governor, has been nominated to resume as Commissioner for Oil and Gas Resources, subject to confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly.
The statement noted that the cabinet reshuffle takes effect from January 30, 2026.

expressed confidence that the strategic adjustments would further enhance policy implementation and effective governance in Edo State.
