The Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has suspended Engr. Stanley Lebechi Mbam, Commissioner for Works, and Engr. Ogbonnaya Obasi Abara, Commissioner for Infrastructure Development for Concession, citing dereliction of duties.
The suspended commissioners have been directed to immediately hand over all government property, including official vehicles, to the Secretary to the State Government. The move is in line with the Governor’s commitment to accountability, efficiency, and transparency in public service.
A statement issued by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Monday Uzor, confirmed that the action takes effect with immediate effect, emphasizing the administration’s zero-tolerance stance on negligence in office.
This decision comes amid ongoing efforts by the Nwifuru administration to ensure effective execution of infrastructure projects across the state and maintain high standards of public service delivery.
