EASTER: FUBARA URGES NIGERIANS TO EMBRACE LOVE, UNITY, FORGIVENESS

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has called on Nigerians to embrace the virtues of love, unity and forgiveness as Christians across the country celebrate the Easter season.

In a goodwill message to mark the celebration, Governor Fubara urged the people of Rivers State, Nigerians to reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the lessons of reconciliation and selflessness which His death and resurrection represent.

The governor, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Onwuka Nzeshi, described Easter as a sacred period for Christians to promote peace, unity and mutual understanding among citizens.

He expressed hope that the Easter celebration would bring renewed hope, joy and spiritual renewal to the people of Rivers State and the nation at large.

Governor Fubara also commended the Christian community for their resilience and continued prayers for peace, progress and stability in the state and the country.

Reiterating his commitment to good governance, the governor assured residents that his administration remains focused on delivering policies and programmes that will improve the welfare of the people of Rivers State.

He further urged the people to continue supporting his administration as well as the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that meaningful development can only be achieved through unity, cooperation and collective effort.
