The Bauchi State Police Command received AIG Zone 12, AIG Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, who is due to retire on January 1st, 2026 on a farewell tour to the Command.
The Assistant Inspector General of Police was welcomed by the Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, and his management team to the Bauchi Command.
The CP in his remarks, noted that the retiring senior Police officer’s tenure as the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 12 has been a beacon of hope, excellence.
He added that his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of the officers and men of the Bauchi State Police Command.
Your guidance, mentorship, humility have inspired us all. You have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the Nigeria Police Force’s core values, your dedication to duty is a shining example for us to emulate.
As you retire on January 1, 2026, we will greatly miss your leadership, expertise, counsel. However, we take solace in knowing that your wealth of experience will continue to inspire and guide us.

We hope to tap into your knowledge, expertise from time to time, we pray that God should continues to bless you with good health and wisdom.

In his farewell remarks, AIG Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, stated that
he was born on 1st January, 1966, which means that he will be retiring from the Force by age.
He noted that himself, family, other loved ones had explicitly enjoyed his services in the Nigeria Police Force.
However, he expressed no regret in joining the noble profession as a very conservative, passionate officer, which makes him proud to retire with dignity and leave behind highly dignified personnel in the Force.
The AIG thanked the Commissioner of Police, his management team, other senior officers, Inspectors, rank and files for the result-oriented commitment in discharging the constitutional responsibilities of the Zonal Police Command.
