Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Education has announced that the 2nd Term of the 2025/2026 academic session will commence on Monday, January 5, 2026.
Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Lady Rose N. Bassey, in a statement urged principals, head teachers, and proprietors of public and private schools, including nursery, primary, secondary, and technical institutions, to ensure compliance with the resumption date.
Parents and guardians were advised that lessons and other school activities would begin fully on January 5.
Teachers are expected to return to schools immediately, carry out their duties diligently.
Commissioner for Education, Professor Ubong Essien Umoh, conveyed best wishes to students, pupils, and teachers for a resourceful, rewarding new academic term.
