The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Late Mrs. Nkoyo Ita John Ikot, mother of DSP Nyeneime Ita John and DSP Timfon Ita John, the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO).
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Command, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, commiserated with the bereaved family over the loss, describing it as painful and irreparable.
The statement, signed by the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Johnmark C. Onah, noted that the deceased was a pillar of strength to her family and community, adding that her passing is a loss not only to her immediate family but also to all who knew her.
“The Command shares in the grief of our dear officers at this difficult time and acknowledges the life and legacy of the deceased,” the statement read.
The Police Command assured DSP Nyeneime Ita John and DSP Timfon Ita John of its full support during the period of mourning, while praying for the repose of the deceased’s soul.
It also prayed that God grants the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
