The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has announced the commencement of the physical and credential screening exercise for candidates who applied for the 2025/2026 recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force as Police Constables.
In a release issued on Thursday, by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Timfon John, the Command stated that the screening exercise is organized by the Nigeria Police Service Commission Recruitment Board and is strictly for applicants who successfully completed the online registration process and received invitations for the next stage of the recruitment exercise.
According to the statement, the screening will take place from March 9 to April 18, 2026, between 7am and 5p daily, at the Akwa Ibom State Police Command Headquarters in Uyo.
The exercise is specifically for indigenes of Akwa Ibom State who applied for the recruitment.
Applicants have been directed to appear for the screening dressed in a clean white T-shirt and white shorts and must present all required documents arranged in two white flat files.
The mandatory documents include two recent passport photographs, evidence of physical and mental fitness from a government-recognized hospital, a certificate of good character from a traditional ruler or village head, a certificate of origin signed by the local government chairman or secretary, and original and duplicate copies of the National Identity Number (NIN) slip.
Other requirements are original and photocopies of O’Level results, birth certificate or declaration of age, printout of the application form, duly completed guarantors’ form, and the invitation slip.
The Police Command emphasized that any applicant who fails to present any of the required documents will not be considered for the screening exercise.
Candidates are also advised to strictly adhere to their scheduled date and time as indicated in their invitation details.
The Command further reminded applicants that the screening exercise is completely free of charge, warning the public against falling victim to fraudsters who may demand payment for the process.
