The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Akwa Ibom State Council, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians across the state and Nigeria as they celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In a goodwill message issued to mark the Easter celebration, the State Chairman of the NUJ, Comrade Nsibiet John, described the season as a significant period for reflection on the virtues of faith, perseverance and service to humanity.
He noted that the resurrection of Jesus Christ symbolizes hope, renewal and victory, urging Christians and journalists alike to draw inspiration from the message of Easter in their daily lives and professional responsibilities.
Comrade Nsibiet emphasized that Easter provides an opportunity for individuals to recommit themselves to values that promote peace, unity and integrity in society.
“As we rejoice in this season of renewal, let us continue to promote truth, integrity and unity, while striving to make positive contributions to our communities, the state and the nation,” he stated.
The NUJ chairman also encouraged journalists to remain dedicated to ethical journalism and responsible reporting, noting that the media plays a critical role in shaping a just and progressive society.
He wished Christians a peaceful, joyful Easter celebration.
