Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has joined the global community to commemorate the 2025 International Men’s Day, celebrating men for their leadership, sacrifice and contributions to the growth of families, communities the State and the Nation.

In a goodwill message, Governor Eno described men as fathers, brothers, leaders and unsung heroes whose daily commitment keeps society stable and progressive.

“Today, we celebrate our Men, Fathers, Brothers, Leaders, and Heroes,” the Governor said. “Thank you for your leadership and commitment at home, at work, and in service to our State and Nation.”

He encouraged men to continue to ARISE with dedication, responsibility, and purpose, noting that their influence is essential in shaping a better society.

The Governor emphasized the need for men to lead with integrity, compassion and vision, stressing that families and communities thrive when men play their roles with commitment.

International Men’s Day, celebrated annually on November 19, highlights positive male role models, men’s health, and the promotion of gender balance.

This year’s celebration in Akwa Ibom aligns with Governor Umo Eno’s ARISE Agenda, which emphasizes moral leadership, family stability, and responsible citizenship.
