AKWA IBOM CP DECORATES 613 NEW ASPs, URGES PROFESSIONALISM

Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State Command, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, has decorated 613 Inspectors recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP II), charging them to uphold professionalism and strict adherence to the rule of law.

The decoration ceremony, held at the Command Headquarters in Uyo, was presided over by CP Azare and represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Finance and Administration, DCP Egbe Preye.

The newly promoted officers were said to have successfully met all stipulated requirements and criteria for advancement to the next rank.

In his remarks, CP Azare congratulated the promotees, reminding them that elevation in rank comes with increased responsibility and accountability. He described the promotion as both divine favour and recognition of their dedication, discipline, and hard work.

The Commissioner urged the officers to remain steadfast, professional, and exemplary in the discharge of their duties. He emphasized strict compliance with the rule of law, established rules of engagement, and the ethical standards of the Nigeria Police Force.

Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers, ASP George Michael expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity, thanked the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, as well as the Police Service Commission for approving their promotion. He also acknowledged CP Azare for his leadership and mentorship.

ASP Michael assured that the newly promoted officers would serve as worthy ambassadors of the Force, pledging to carry out their duties with integrity, dedication, and commitment to humanity. He also appreciated senior officers, family members, and well-wishers who attended the ceremony.
