Two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been named boxing’s most efficient earner, averaging £172,346 per punch landed across his career. The analysis, by online casino 247Bet, compared 25 professional boxers in the UK over the last five years.
Joshua, 36, has landed 2,289 punches in 33 bouts, earning an estimated £394.5m in prize money. He tops Jake Paul (£162,562 per punch) and Tyson Fury (£147,559 per punch). Oleksandr Usyk and Deontay Wilder round out the top five.
Canelo Alvarez, despite earning £455m in prize money, ranks sixth due to throwing the most punches (7,088) across 67 fights.
Joshua is recovering from a December 29 car crash on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway that killed his friends, delaying his return to the ring. Promoter Eddie Hearn now targets a July comeback, potentially against Fury.
