All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Akwa Ibom State Chapter, has honoured the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Market Matters, Akparawa Idorenyin Raphael, for his role in supporting economic growth, human development in the state.
The award was presented during the Association’s Annual General Meeting held on Monday, December 22, 2025.
AFAN said the recognition followed Raphael’s engagement with the informal sector, particularly farmers and traders, whose activities sustain the grassroots economy.
Speaking after receiving the award, Raphael said the honour was meaningful to him.
He noted that farmers and traders are part of the informal sector, remain a major voting population in the state.
He urged farmers to continue their work, stating that their activities align with the ARISE Agenda of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno.
