Fast rising music star, Fola has tendered a public apology following the controversy that trailed his first headline concert, which was disrupted by safety concerns.
The concert, held on December 15 at the Balmoral Event Center, reportedly attracted a crowd far beyond the venue’s capacity, leading to disorderly scenes, security breaches that forced the artiste to abruptly end the performance.
Reacting to the backlash, Fola expressed regrets over the incident, admitting that the safety of his fans should have taken precedence.
“My people, I am truly sorry about how last night turned out. People got hurt, that is never acceptable. I had to stop the show because safety must always come first. I have heard all your concerns, we are working towards making things right,” he said.
Fola’s record label, Dagbana Republik, also issued an apology, acknowledging that inadequate safety arrangements contributed to the chaos at the event.

The label stated that the show, organized by Mainland Blockparty, exceeded the approved capacity of the venue, creating unsafe conditions for attendees.
It added that the performance was immediately halted once it became clear that fans were at risk, assuring the public that steps are being taken in collaboration with the organizers to address the situation, prevent a recurrence.
Dagbana Republik reaffirmed that the safety, well being of fans remain a top priority, non negotiable in all future events.
