ADAMAWA CANCELS CROSS OVER NIGHT AT UNITY FLYOVER

The Adamawa State Government has announced the cancellation of the December 31 Cross Over Night activities earlier scheduled to hold at the Unity Flyover in Jimeta, Yola, the state capital.

The cancellation was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, Mr. Humwashi Wonosikou, and made available to journalists.

According to the statement, the decision was taken in the interest of public safety and security, with assurances that residents would be informed should there be any further developments.

“The Adamawa State Government has cancelled all activities planned for the Cross Over Night on December 31, 2025, to January 1, 2026, at the Unity Flyover in Jimeta, Yola,” the statement read.

“The safety and security of citizens remain our top priority. The government will continue to work with security agencies to ensure peace, stability in the state.”

The government also advised residents, particularly those in Yola North and Yola South Local Government Areas, to remain vigilant, avoid crowded places, and promptly report any suspicious activity to security agencies.
