British-Nigerian heavyweight boxer, Anthony Joshua, has tattooed the names of two of his close friends, Sina Ghami and Latif ‘Latz’ Ayodele, who died in a car crash on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State, in December 2025.
A London-based tattoo studio, Fulham Tattoo, shared images of the new tattoos on Instagram on Thursday, revealing that the two-time world heavyweight champion walked into the shop unannounced for his first visit.
“Huge thank you to two-time heavyweight champion of the world Anthony Joshua for unexpectedly and unannounced walking through the door a few weeks ago for his first visit with us at Fulham Tattoo London … what a walk in,” the studio wrote.
Ghami and Ayodele lost their lives when the vehicle they were travelling in collided with a stationary truck near Lagos on December 29, 2025.
Joshua, who was also in the vehicle, survived the crash. He was hospitalised and later discharged before returning to the United Kingdom.
The boxer subsequently attended the funerals of Ghami, his strength and conditioning coach, and Ayodele, one of his trainers.
The tragic incident sparked widespread reactions from the boxing community and fans in Nigeria and abroad, with tributes pouring in for the deceased members of Joshua’s team.
