“Floods have disrupted the lives of thousands of our citizens, and this programme seeks to provide tangible support to those affected. We are committed to ensuring that every displaced Nigerian has access to the resources and opportunities needed to recover and thrive,” President Tinubu said.
The scheme will be implemented in partnership with federal and state agencies, non-governmental organizations, and development partners to ensure efficient delivery and monitoring of assistance.
Beneficiaries are expected to receive both financial grants and access to vocational training, agricultural inputs, small business support packages.
Government officials said the programme will prioritize the most vulnerable, including women, children, and the elderly, and will also support the reconstruction of homes and community infrastructure.
