Immediate past National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, has assured Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, of victory in the next year’s governorship election.
Dr. Ganduje gave the assurance on Monday in Kano while welcoming Governor Yusuf back to the APC.
According to Ganduje, all governorship aspirants within the party have agreed to support Yusuf’s second-term bid.
Governor Yusuf rejoined APC today, after resigning from New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) last week.
He had previously been a member of the APC between 2014 and 2018 before leaving for other political platforms.
In his resignation letter dated January 23, 2026, addressed to his ward chairman, Governor Yusuf cited internal crises within the NNPP and the need to protect the broader interests of the people as reasons for his defection.
